ABOUT CHRISTOPHER

Christopher M Huckabee, AIA is the Chief Executive Officer of MOREgroup, a family of architecture, design, and engineering brands that lead their markets with focused expertise. The family of brands serve healthcare and health science + technology, education, and public architecture—markets that contribute to a strong social infrastructure where generations thrive. Today, MOREgroup represents more than 700 employees in 22 offices across the United States. It was formed through the combination of Huckabee, Rachlin Partners (now Huckabee), TSK, IEG Innovative Engineering Group, and E4H Environments for Health Architecture

Chris stepped into the CEO role more than 30 years ago, poised to build upon a legacy his father started in 1967 when he founded Huckabee, a firm still centered on education. Under Chris’s leadership, Huckabee experienced incredible growth by investing in the expansion of educational services, expertise, and impact. It became the founding brand of MOREgroup. Through it all, Chris retains the beliefs inspired by his father: quality, integrity, and service.

Chris serves on multiple boards and speaks frequently on topics relevant to education and the A/E industry. His service philosophy focuses on building strong communities through education, youth services, and leadership development. Chris was twice appointed to the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and recently served as the Chairman of the Board of Regents at Texas Tech University, his alma mater. In addition, he is the past Chairman of the North Texas Community Foundation and a former Board Member of Cook Children’s Health System.

Chris received a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Texas Tech University and is a registered architect in Texas, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Arkansas, and Georgia.
